Great Barrier Reef Private Charter Boat Diving

Wouldn’t it be great to be able to get away from everybody and dive the Great Barrier Reef completely at your own pace? Our Great Barrier Reef Private Dive Charters for experienced certified divers or intro divers are just the way to go!

Being the only private dive charter boat in Port Douglas with its own permanent and designated dive crew we have a lot of reef experience to offer. Unlike other charter boats with a more general purpose we are fully equipped for diving as this is our main daily activity when operating our daily tours.

With our special permit and the size of our boat we have access to many reefs where other boats can’t go. Years of daily reef experiences allowed us to build  a vast knowledge of outstanding dive sites to choose from, depending on your experience level and what you are looking for.

Our private dive charters can cater for the thrill seeking deep divers as much as we can cater for more inexperienced or nervous divers, who would like to takes things easy.  All our dives sites for diving are on the Outer Great Barrier Reef, taking approximately 1 1/2  hours to get there.

Whatever your experience level is we can equip the boat with the adequate staff suitable to meet your needs.

As a Certified diver with a PADI/SSI or equivalent agency certification we’ll take to the depths of the of the reef, usually up tp 18 meters, depending on your certification we can go even further! Typically we’ll be doing three dives on three sites to ensure ample time for desaturation and enjoy lovely food throughout your journey. As only your imagination is the limit for your journey we are  happy tailor the journey and the dives exactly to your ideas.

Intro Diving  is the perfect experience for the ones in your group who would love to dive in a bit deeper instead of snorkelling but haven’t got a certification. Our staff will teach you essential dive skills and make sure you are at ease before you dive to a maximum of 12m, always accompanied by your instructor.

Port Douglas Charter Boat is operated by a PADI 5 Star/IDC centre with  the most professional and qualified dive instructors. So why not take a PADI dive course and become a certified open water diver or an advanced dive course? We offer private PADI Open Water Dive and Advanced Open Water Diver Courses, as well as numerous PADI Specialty Courses to extend your dive knowledge, all of which we can incorporate in your private charter.

For all our dives we supply the following high standard quality dive equipment

• fins
• masks & snorkels
• BCD, tanks and weights,
• 5mm shortie dive suits (in the winter) and stinger suits (in the summer)
• transport from your local accommodation
